Positive / Negative ?

In a highdimensional dataworld, finding a hyperplane distinguishing two classes isn’t always so complicated. Without domainknowledge nor priors from the language environment a linear regressor gets 80%+ on unseen data. In the appendix you can see the auto generated report for yelp. I took open datasets from Amazon, Yelp and ImdB for binary segment analysis.

Even simpler statistical models give a beautiful projection of the generative function from positive or negative words in the given prior. Seen in the following:

amazon imdb yelp

A very nice example are positive words extracted from a labeled twitter post database on becks (german beer).

becks positive

You can also see, that on the negative samples, I filtered too much usernames, unfortunally. Prototype can be too weak or I discovered a hidden group of people hating becks.

becks positive

All of my algorithms are from neurocat. Of course.
